MEDICAL PEDICURE
SANTA CRUZ
A small study found that 57% of people who go to nail salons encounter skin or fungal infections. And many suffer from respiratory symptoms.
People who have diabetes, have a history of toe amputation(s), circulation problems, peripheral neuropathy, or are otherwise immunocompromised should get a medical pedicure instead. Toenails and calluses that remain ignored can cause cuts, infections, and open sores. Protect your feet with proactive care.
A medical pedicure bridges podiatric services with foot care focusing on prevention, safety, and sanitation for men and women.

Podiatrist supervised foot care
Hello!
I’m Dr. Tea, a podiatrist who really cares about foot health. As a medical professional who’s fellowship-trained in diabetic wound surgery and seeing limited options for responsible foot care, I saw two important industries intersecting in foot health and wanted to bring them together: podiatrists & pedicurists.
Podiatry focuses on the health, prevention, and treatment of foot disease while pedicurists focus on aesthetics and offer a relaxing indulgent experience.
Not long ago I experienced significant trauma at several local nail salons that left me speechless, or rather in tears. Some included poorly sanitized instruments, getting my nail bed burned from improper use of an electric file, getting a file burn from negligence, and aggressive cuticle trimming risking unnecessary infection. I could only imagine what my patients might have gone through before they had to see me to be treated for an infection or end up with an avoidable amputation.
Since then I’ve made it my mission to offer a safe and sanitary place for my patients to have their feet cared for. I’m excited to bring my vision to life bridging podiatry and pedicure services to those who seek high-quality uncompromised foot care that’ll improve their health. This type of medical pedicure service is the first of its kind in Santa Cruz County and I’m grateful you’re here.
You deserve a safe and welcoming place for your foot care services. Welcome to the future of foot health!
Foot care is self-care.
